EA and Lucasfilm have announced the worldwide release of the latest Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion, entitled Knights of the Eternal Throne. The digital expansion to the critically acclaimed MMORPG presents a story-driven experience for new and veteran players alike.

For the first time ever in a Star Wars game, Knights of the Eternal Throne allows players to take command as the ruler of the entire galaxy. Assuming the role of the Outlander, players will be taking an explosive battle to the most powerful family in the Eternal Empire in an epic fight for control. Players must make choices to influence both the light and dark side of the force, depending on their preference. You will decide who lives, dies and lords over the galaxy.

“This year, it’s even more personal. We’ve raised the stakes for the player as they fight to seize control of the Eternal Throne and rule the galaxy,” states producer Ben Iriving. “But that’s not the end of your story. The new Galatic Command gameplay that has been implemented will bring fast-paced action to SWTOR, aiding the player’s multiplayer progression to help strengthen their grip on power and influence. Three new challenge modes will be available to choose from, including new Uprisings which sees players joining up with three allies to take on enemy factions for rewards.
