Best Dungeon, Place and Good Spot to farm WOW Classic Wool Cloth Horde & Alliance: Where to Find Wool Cloth Vanilla WOW

Where is the best place to farm wool cloth? The best spot to farm any cloth is through dungeons in WOW Classic. We have listed two good place to help you get Vanilla WOW wool cloth for Horde & Alliance, including Shadowfang Keep and The Stockades. Let's see in details.

Why is wool cloth so expensive?

Because it’s damn hard to find in any meningful quantities. Wool cloth is used to skill up tailoring and first aid, and has some minor uses in blacksmithing and engineering. Since most players will skill up their first aid, they will use the wool cloth they collect for that purpose. So it doesn’t go on the auction house. Furthermore, wool cloth only drops from mobs around level 15-26, and not many players stay and farm long enough at those levels to create any major supply of this cloth.

The Best Place to Farm wool for Horde & Alliance

The best way to farm any cloth is through dungeons, for wool these would be Shadowfang Keep and The Stockades.

The Stockades

As a Horde, you’ll die a couple of times getting The Stockades, but it’s worth it if you’re after lots of wool. It’s a boring instance, but the mobs have a good respawn rate. So by the time you’ve cleared the instance all the mobs except the bosses will have respawned and you can just start clearing it again straight away. Recommend that you be level 50+ to make life easier and faster, otherwise it won’t be worth the time. A clear run generally nets me about 60-80 wool and it takes about 20-30 mins to clear.

Wool Cloth Mob Locations –

Rothide [Lvl 18] Fenris Isle, in Silverpine Forest

Razormane [Lvl 21] North of Razor Fen Kraul, within the Barrens

Rockjaw Gnolls [Lvl 17] Near Deadmines, in Westfall

Thistlefur [Lvl 24] North West of Astranaar

Shadowfang Keep

If your level is high enough, you can farm Wool Cloth in Shadowfang Keep which is located near the borders of Gilneas in southern Silverpine Forest. After you cleared the instance, go outside and reset it by right clicking over your own portrait then click the "Reset all instance" button. This restarts the whole instance and all mobs will be back. You can only do 10 instance runs in an hour, this means sometimes you might have to wait a bit.
